During my stay, I found the location to be fantastic, right in the heart of Chinatown with a wealth of dining options nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful, making my experience enjoyable, though there were some hiccups with service that detracted from the overall experience. The room was spacious and clean, but I encountered some difficulties with my room access cards and the hot water during my stay.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious, clean, and had soundproofing which I appreciated. However, I faced issues with my room access cards which were frustrating. The cleaning service was a bit slow too, as my room wasn’t made up until late in the afternoon on a couple of days.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally great and always maintained a friendly demeanor. However, I experienced a few frustrations, particularly with a lack of response from management when I reached out about issues during my stay. Overall, they were attentive but could have improved in communication.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is ideal, nestled right in the bustling Chinatown area with easy access to a variety of food options and grocery stores. It’s centrally located, making it convenient for exploring the city. I loved being so close to everything!
Dining
6.0
While the breakfast buffet offered a good variety, I found some items, like the eggs, could have been improved in quality. The buffet is rather pricey, but I enjoyed the Hungarian beef stew.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel facilities, including the gym and swimming pool, were decent, although I was disappointed to find that the pool wasn’t heated as advertised. Everything was generally well-kept, and I appreciated the cleanliness throughout my stay.

During my recent stay at Mantra On Russell, I found the rooms spacious and equipped with everything I needed. The service was friendly, but I did face a few issues with room cleaning during my visit. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore Melbourne, though the dining experience had room for improvement.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was quite spacious, featuring a comfy queen size bed along with a small kitchenette and modern bathroom. It was clean and had all the essentials I needed, though I wish the air conditioning could have been adjusted higher for added warmth during the night.
Service
7.0
The staff members were mostly friendly and helpful, offering assistance whenever needed. However, I was disappointed that my room wasn't serviced during my stay, and it took a bit of effort to get some fresh towels.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location was a highlight for me. It was centrally located in Melbourne's CBD, with easy access to shopping, nightlife, and the free tram zone. I enjoyed being close to popular sites like the State Library and Chinatown.
Dining
6.0
While there were several breakfast options, I found the dinner menu somewhat lacking. My experience with room service could have been better, particularly since the quality of the food didn’t meet my expectations.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities available, like complimentary wifi and laundry services in the room, were convenient for my stay. However, the pool area did not impress me due to the lack of cleanliness and amenities like fresh towels.

7.0/10

I had a pleasant stay at Mantra on Russell, with spacious rooms and a great location. The staff was friendly, though I did notice some issues with the cleanliness in my room. Overall, it met most of my needs for a work trip, and I would consider returning.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was large and clean with a nice balcony. However, I found it starting to look a bit dated, and I would've appreciated more charging points near the bed.
Service
7.0
The staff was generally helpful and friendly, always wearing a smile. But I felt like my requests for better room placement were overlooked compared to times I stayed here before.
Location
10.0
The location is perfect, just a short walk from shops, bars, and restaurants, making it super convenient to explore the city. Plus, being close to Chinatown was a bonus.
Dining
8.0
Dining was nice, and the breakfast had some really good options like French toast. It was convenient to have it downstairs, but I wish it could be available for longer hours.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were solid with the pool and gym available, but I was disappointed that the pool area wasn’t as warm as I expected, which affected my overall experience.

7.4/10

I had a pleasant stay at Mantra On Russell, thanks to its great location and spacious accommodations. The staff were friendly and professional, making my experience even better. However, there were some issues—like street noise and a strange smell in the bathroom—that detracted from the overall enjoyment.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a spacious one-bedroom apartment that featured a comfortable bed and an adjoining kitchenette which was so handy during my travels. The only downside was some cold air creeping in from the sliding door.
Service
8.0
The hotel staff were lovely and helpful from check-in to check-out (always a plus!). However, I did feel they could be a bit more attentive during busy times.
Location
10.0
The central location was ideal for exploring the city, particularly near Chinatown and shopping areas like Emporium and Bourke Street, which I loved.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast options were convenient but not particularly special. The coffee wasn't included in the price I paid, which felt a bit misleading.
Facilities
7.0
The amenities, including the gym and pool, appeared well maintained. I appreciated the in-room cooking equipment wrapped for safety, although I did wish for better breakfast quality.

6.6/10

I recently stayed at Mantra On Russell, and while the location was fantastic—just a stone's throw from Her Majesty's Theatre—there were some letdowns. The room, though comfortable, felt a bit dated for the price we paid. Checking in was a bit of a hassle with parking and the unexpected security deposit, which left me scratching my head. Overall, it was a decent stay, but I might look elsewhere next time.

Rooms
6.0
The room was nice but dated, and I felt the $595 for the night wasn't justified. It had all the basics, but definitely room for improvement.
Service
6.0
Some staff were helpful, but I felt the check-in process could have been smoother, particularly regarding parking instructions.
Location
10.0
The hotel's central location was perfect for my plans, especially being so close to theatres and dining options.
Dining
7.0
I didn't take advantage of the dining facilities during my stay, but I’ve heard good things about the breakfast options.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a secure parking setup, but it could be better communicated. Also, the elevators were slow during peak times.
